Last night I celebrated the 10th Anniversary of my variety show at Largo. It was a wonderful night filled with the very best people. I am indebted to all of the folks who have and continue to help me throw this thing together every month: Ben Acker, Nick Ciarelli, Ken Crosby, Cash Hartzell, Aaron Ginsburg, Neil Mahoney and Brian Whalen, and most certainly to Liezl Estipona for proving that it happened.
I am eternally grateful for the eternal professionalism and good cheer of my band, Todd Spahr, Brandon McCulloch and Scott Rodgers, who make me feel as if I have any business singing in public.
Special thanks to Katie Bond for helping out with the frequent costuming, and to Scott Carter for his unflagging support.
OBVIOUSLY thanks to Flanagan and everyone at Largo at The Coronet for letting me do whatever I want in their theatre. You damned fools.
And of course, the most gigantic thanks go to my good friend and collaborator, Eban Schletter, and my best friend and wife, Janie Haddad Tompkins.
I will keep doing this show until it is done. That is my vow.
I’m very lucky to be a part of this amazing show with all of these wonderful so-and-so’s.
Please come out and see it within the next ten years!
